Il Master IB (Master Introducing Broker) occupa il vertice di una rete Introducing Broker multi-livello. Invece di segnalare trader esclusivamente in modo diretto, il Master IB recluta altri IB -- denominati Sub-IB -- che a loro volta riferiscono trader al broker. Questa struttura a livelli genera un flusso commissionale che risale la gerarchia, remunerando il Master IB sia per l'attivita della propria base clienti diretta sia per quella dell'intera rete subordinata.
Il Master IB guadagna in due modi: commissioni sull'attivita di trading dei clienti segnalati direttamente, e commissioni override sull'attivita generata dalla rete di Sub-IB.
