El EPC (Ingresos por Clic) se calcula dividiendo el total de comisiones ganadas entre el número total de clics en un enlace de afiliado durante un periodo dado. Por ejemplo, si un afiliado genera 500 EUR en comisiones a partir de 1.000 clics, el EPC es de 0,50 EUR. Esta métrica ofrece una visión normalizada de la eficacia con la que el tráfico se convierte en ingresos, independientemente del volumen de tráfico.
El EPC importa a ambas partes de un programa de afiliados. Los afiliados lo usan para comparar ofertas y decidir adónde enviar su tráfico: un EPC más alto significa más ingresos por visitante. Los operadores lo usan para evaluar la calidad del tráfico de distintos partners. La métrica se comporta de forma distinta según el modelo de comisión: con CPA (Costo por Adquisición), el EPC refleja la tasa de conversión multiplicada por el pago fijo; con RevShare, el EPC también incorpora los ingresos generados por cada usuario convertido a lo largo del tiempo, lo que lo convierte en un indicador rezagado.
