Il marketing di affiliazione è un modello di distribuzione in cui un operatore (l'advertiser) collabora con promotori esterni (gli affiliati o publisher) che indirizzano traffico verso la piattaforma dell'operatore. A differenza della pubblicità a pagamento, in cui i costi sono sostenuti in anticipo, il marketing di affiliazione lega il pagamento a risultati misurabili: un deposito, un'operazione di trading, l'acquisto di una challenge o un altro evento qualificante. Questa struttura lo rende uno dei canali di acquisizione piu efficienti in termini di capitale per gli operatori di iGaming, Forex e Prop Trading.
I meccanismi di un programma di marketing di affiliazione si fondano su tre componenti principali: tracking, attribuzione e commissione. Quando un visitatore clicca un link di affiliazione, viene attivato un evento di tracking, in genere tramite tracking S2S o pixel tracking, che collega il visitatore all'affiliato referente. Se quel visitatore completa un'azione qualificante entro la finestra di attribuzione, l'affiliato guadagna una commissione in base al modello concordato, che sia CPA, RevShare (Revenue Share) o un modello a commissione ibrida.
